Friday February 25 - Red Barn Market (W. Saanich Rd)

Ayo Alfrescoes! On Friday February 25 2022, we will be painting at the Red Barn Market on W. Saanich Road and surrounding area. If you do not want to paint at the market itself, you can try the intersection of Wallace Drive and W. Saanich Road (just north of the market). This location offers plenty of farmland scenery. A map can be found  here . We'll meet at the market at 12:00 Noon for our Show'n'Tell.


Remember that we are still in the midst of a pandemic. Everyone should continue observing social distancing rules, remaining at least 2m apart from others. Masks are still encouraged when in a group.


If you wish, you can take a picture of your own work and send the image file as follows:

  • send JPGs only on Friday afternoons between noon to 4:00 pm
  • email to thealfrescoes@gmail.com
  • between 10 and 20 such images can be published weekly.

Friday February 18 - Hatley Park Gardens

Mulishani Alfrescoes! On Friday February 18 2022, we will returning to the Hatley Park Gardens, located in Colwood on the Royal Roads University (RRU) grounds. It is a bit of a walk up to the Main Entrance of gardens (see map) from the parking lot.

A map to the location can be found by clicking  here . There is no charge to visit the gardens themselves but pay parking is in effect in all RRU parking lots and is $1/hour. We'll meet in front of the parking area, under the big tree (see map) at Noon for our Show'n'Tell.


Remember that we are still in the midst of a pandemic. Everyone should continue observing social distancing rules, remaining at least 2m apart from others. Masks are still encouraged when in a group.

Pryvitańnie Alfrescoes. This Friday, February 11 2022, we will be painting at Saanichton Bay Park (map  here ). Parking is available on a side street, just off Mt. Newton Cross Road (see below, labelled "park access road"). We will meet at the parking area at Noon for our Show'n'Tell.

Seavus Alfrescoes! On Friday February 4 2022, we will be painting at Hamsterly Beach on Elk Lake. Hamsterly Beach is located on the northeast corner of the lake. Parking is along Hamsterly Road. A map to the location can be found by clicking  here . We'll meet along the beach parking area, across from the Capital Cat Clinic at Noon for our Show'n'Tell.
