Friday January 29 - Esquimalt Gorge Park

Horas Alfrescoes! We are resuming the Friday locations emails, but please remember that we are still in the midst of a pandemic.

This Friday January 29 2021, we will be painting at Esquimalt Gorge Park, off Tillicum Road (map  here ).

UPDATE: Access to parking off of Tillicum Road is closed due to construction. Additional parking (see map) is available at the end of Sioux Place (access from Craigflower Rd). Thanks to Joan Richardson, Ron Wilson and Vicki Postl for bringing this to our attention.

NOTICE: There will NOT be a Show'n'Tell at Noon. It has proven too difficult to maintain proper social distancing at the get together. We have received complaints that artists are approaching other artists and are forgetting about social distancing. If this continues, weekly locations will no longer be posted.

Everyone should continue observing social distancing rules, remaining at least 2m apart from others.

If you wish, you can take a picture of your own work and send the image file to Ron Wilson, who has offered to post your work. Here are his instructions:
  • send JPGs only on Friday afternoons between noon to 4:00 pm
  • email to ronjbw@gmail.com
  • the images should be cropped and reduced to 1024 pixels on the longest edge, and 72dpi.
  • Ron can publish between 10 and 20 such images weekly.
Remember, we cannot control the public, who may wish to approach you without you noticing. Therefore, this is at your own risk, and you can choose not to participate. The COVID-19 virus remains a serious public heath issue. If you require further information on how to keep yourself and others safe, please visit the BC governments' website.
