Friday July 2 - Whiffen Spit

Haa marʉ́awe Alfrescoes! On Friday July 2 2021, we will be painting at Whiffen Spit in Sooke (map  here ). We will meet near the parking lot at 12:00 Noon for our Show'n'Tell.

NOTICE: We are resuming the Show'n'Tell at Noon. The province has begun relaxing some Covid-19 restrictions, and gatherings of up to 50 people at a park or beach are now allowed.

NOTICE: We are still looking for a volunteer to take over from Ron, to manage the Alfrescoe website and post the weekly artist images. Please contact us at thealfrescoes@gmail.com if you are interested.


Remember that we are still in the midst of a pandemic. Everyone should continue observing social distancing rules, remaining at least 2m apart from others. Masks are still encouraged when in a group.

If you wish, you can take a picture of your own work and send the image file as follows:

  • send JPGs only on Friday afternoons between noon to 4:00 pm
  • email to thealfrescoes@gmail.com
  • the images should be cropped and reduced to 1024 pixels on the longest edge, and 72dpi.
  • between 10 and 20 such images can be published weekly.
Remember, we cannot control the public, who may wish to approach you without you noticing. Therefore, this is at your own risk, and you can choose not to participate. Friday June 25 - Holland Point Park

Kopivosian Alfrescoes. On Friday June 25 2021, we are heading to Holland Point Park, off Dallas Road. 

NOTICE: We will be resuming the Show'n'Tell at Noon. The province has begun relaxing some Covid-19 restrictions, and gatherings of up to 50 people at a park or beach are now allowed.

We'll meet at the Pond at 12:00 for our Show'n'Tell.  Here  is a map showing the location of Holland Point Park and the meeting place.

Friday June 18 - Beaver Lake Ponds

Ran annim Alfrescoes. This Friday June 18 2021, we will be painting at the Beaver Lake Ponds. See the  map  for the location.

A note from Ron:

"Thanks Everyone for sending in your location paintings these past 15 years - I am retiring from the Alfs website June 25th, hoping that you will carry on the tradition.

A general note;

"Some paint brushes were found in the Island View parking lot by Charlotte Haggart. If the brushes in the attached picture look familiar, Charlotte will have the brushes with her on Friday"

Friday June 11 - Government House

Halito Alfrescoes. Our next paint-out (Friday June 11 2021) will be at Government House (1401 Rockland Street). There is limited parking at the House but if you drive up and go past the house, take the left driveway. There is plenty of parking at the bottom. Click  here  for a map.
