Friday March 27 - Location Cancelled

Hello Alfrescoes. In light of the current COVID-19 pandemic, we will not be posting the Friday location emails until it is safe to do so. We considered continuing Friday location emails but not have the Show'n'Tell at Noon. However, as you know, the public often stops to speak with artists when they are working. We feel it is safer just to stop all together.

The Alfrescoes Spring 2020 Coast Collective Show is cancelled, so there will be NO drop off of paintings on Monday April 27.

Update: The SPIRIT BAY DAY scheduled for April 2, has been cancelled due to COVID-19

If you would like to continue the routine of painting, inside or outside, Friday mornings, Ron Wilson has offered to post your work. Here are his instructions:

• send JPGs only on Friday afternoons between noon to 5pm
• email to ronjbw@gmail.com
• If possible, the images should be cropped and reduced to 800 pixels on the longest edge, and 72dpi.

Ron can publish between 10 and 20 such images weekly.

Friday March 13 - Ross Bay

Pialli Alfrescoes! This Friday March 13 2020, we will be painting at Ross Bay (map to the location is found  here ). The Ross Bay Cemetery is here with some lovely monuments, paths, trees, etc. We also have access to the shoreline across Dallas Road. We'll meet for our Show'n'Tell at Noon near the Cemetery washroom area at the corner of Dallas Road and Memorial Crescent. See you there.

How to Register

To register for the show, click on the following link:

 Online Registration 

• Show Date: April 29 to May 10, 2020
• Location: Coast Collective Art Centre - 318 Wale Rd #103, Victoria (Colwood), BC
• Maximum Number of Submissions: 2
• Painting Drop Off Time: Monday April 27 from 9:00 - 9:30am
• Opening Reception: Saturday May 2 from 1:00 - 3:00pm
• Painting Pick Up Time: Sunday May 10 from 5:00 - 5:30pm

Who can enter? Any artist that has painted with the Al Frescoes at least once during 2019 or 2020

What can you enter? One or two plein air paintings. Maximum dimension of any side is 24". Paintings do not need to be painted with the Al Frescoes but must have been painted outdoors.

What is the cost? $5.00 per submission (Fee will be collected at drop off)

When dropping your paintings off on April 27, please ensure that you have attached the following information on the back of each of your paintings:

Ekamowir omo Alfrescoes. This Friday March 6 2020, we will be painting at Goldstream Park. The map showing the location can be found  here . We will meet after at 12:00 for our Show'n'Tell in the main parking lot under the picnic table enclosure.
